ABOUT CUP OR CARD & HANDEYEBODY ACADEMY

I’m Dr. Jacob Weiss, PhD, founder of HandEyeBody Academy and creator of the Cup or Card Brain Training Game.

I developed Cup or Card to be both fun and functional, to engage teams and groups through creative play, and to help teachers, coaches, and therapists guide cognitive, vision, and movement exercises for all abilities.

The game is so simple that anyone can learn to play.

And the rules are easily adaptable into an infinite number of creative and challenging variations, keeping things fun, fresh, and novel every time.

I’m so excited to share Cup or Card with you, because I know what it can mean for you, and for your teams, students, and clients.

And just as important, you're going to have a lot of fun playing and creating new game ideas together!

What would it mean for you to experience these stories and this type of impact with your teams, students, and clients?

As a Rock Steady Boxing coach I’ve found many of these exercises to be valuable for my clients. They work not only on eye-hand coordination but also balance, multitasking and cognitive skills. I use them on a regular basis and my clients really enjoy the challenge.
— Pat J
As a sports performance coach, I find HandEyeBody drills incredibly useful for myself and incorporating them into my clients training sessions. Highly recommend for athletes of hand dominant sports, or anyone looking to take their hand-eye coordination to the next level!
— Rogie T
These drills have been incorporated with a variety of our Olympic teams during “fun Friday” where we challenge the athletes with unconventional warmups. The HandEyeBody drills always had our athletes laughing, smiling, and competing against one another in new/fresh ways.
— Levi S
I’ve used several drills from Instagram and have incorporated them into my yoga classes using bean bags. I liked that there was a concrete piece to focus on [beanbag] while people were moving their bodies as I felt that gave extra focus and concentration. People enjoyed making a game out of it and appreciated a way to challenge themselves in poses in non-traditional ways. I think it helped some people ease into their practice rather than being overly concerned with ‘getting the pose just right’
— Brooke F
HandEyeBody has been instrumental in working with my catchers and softball players during quarantine. Reaction time and coordination is paramount in our sport. It has given them challenges that they can work on at home to keep motivated and invested in getting better at their sport and position. I can see my athletes using these workouts in the winter months when access to facilities is limited. This gives them no excuse to get better! I’m a big fan.
— Michelle S
HandEyeBody drills are always creative, useful and most importantly helpful and doable. I can always take their ideas and build and tailor to our development needs. Thanks for the innovative ideas and keeping it fun!
